On October 14th, H.E. Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam Marco della Seta inaugurated the fair STUDY IN ITALY and ignited the SLIM 2023 – XXIII Week of the Italian Language in the World. The event was held at Casa Italia and it was a momentous occasion that brought the best of Italian higher education to Vietnamese students. There was also the award ceremony for the winners of CIAO Ý contest in the North.

The following day, October 15th, Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City Enrico Padula continued the activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - HCMC National University, with the opening speech and gave prizes to CIAO Ý contest winners in the South.

Uni-Italia’s Secretary General Alberto Ortolani added an important dimension to the event, affirming the commitment of Italian institutions to fostering international educational exchanges and promoting Italian culture abroad. This initiative not only offers the possibility of academic enrichment but also serves as a bridge between cultures, strengthening the ties between Italy and Vietnam.

The highlight of the event was the participation of representatives from 11 Italian universities. Each of these universities – UNITN, UNIBS, UNIMIB, POLIMI, UNICATT, UNIGE, UNIFI, UNIROMA1, LUMSA, UNIMC, and NABA – offered a wealth of information and guidance to the Vietnamese students aspiring to pursue higher education in Italy. These universities are renowned for their academic excellence and diverse range of courses, making them attractive options for international students.

The fair turned out to be a remarkable success, with a total of 850 attendees.
