Recruitment Fairs

Throughout the year, Uni-Italia organizes and participates in numerous initiatives aimed at promoting the Italian higher education system.
These activities, upon specific request from interested Italian institutions, can also be customized to enhance their visibility. Below are some notable initiatives:

  • "Study in Italy" seminars, held both in-person and online, in collaboration with international academic institutions and targeted at their students;
  • Panel discussions between Italian and local academic institutions on specific topics (scholarships, internships, success stories, etc.);
  • Interactive webinars for international students;
  • Live interviews, broadcast via digital platforms and social media, on specific topics such as the promotion of a new degree program, the launch of a scholarship program, or the opening of a call for applications.

These initiatives provide students with the opportunity to interact directly, ask questions, and gain in-depth information about study opportunities in Italy from the relevant academic representatives.

In cities hosting its Centers abroad, Uni-Italia periodically organizes masterclass tours at local universities and high schools. These events can be planned in collaboration with Italian institutions and linked to other activities such as recruitment fairs or institutional visits by Italian universities and AFAM (Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance) institutes to local diplomatic representations.

These roadshows are highly customized events, lasting up to 8–10 days, during which Italian universities and institutes can:

  • Engage intensively with selected students from prestigious colleges or institutions, specific to faculties or disciplines.
  • Present their academic offerings in detail, including intensive workshops for student groups.
  • Provide information about selection processes and application procedures.
  • Highlight career opportunities and share success stories of alumni.

These tours represent a unique opportunity for Italian institutions to promote themselves directly and effectively, connecting with future international talents.

Uni-Italia supports major student recruitment fairs in strategically important countries by providing:

  • Official sponsorship to ensure broad visibility and enhance the event's appeal.
  • Media and logistical support, encouraging the participation of additional Italian institutions and increasing the event's informational impact.

Upon request from Italian Cultural Institutes, Uni-Italia also promotes and develops events to strengthen the presence of Italian academic institutions in international contexts.

A notable example is the partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bogotá, which organizes the Aula Italia fair, celebrating its fourth edition in 2024.

Uni-Italia continues to explore new collaborations with international partners and agents to further expand its reach.

Education fairs promoted by foreign governments serve as prominent platforms for the internationalization of higher education. Prestigious examples include the China Education Expo (CEE) and the China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET). These events, sponsored by host country governments, allow Italian institutions to showcase their academic offerings alongside other international excellence, strengthening global academic cooperation and attracting new talents.

The Study in Europe fairs and European Higher Education Fairs (EHEF) are promoted by the European Commission and EU delegations worldwide. These events aim to:

  • Highlight the excellence of European higher education, showcasing the offerings of institutions from 33 countries participating in the Erasmus+ program.
  • Provide detailed information on study and research opportunities abroad, including funding options.
  • Facilitate connections between European higher education organizations and potential students or international partners.

As a stakeholder in the Study in Europe consortium, Uni-Italia actively participates in these fairs, promoting the Italian education system and enhancing its presence on the global stage.
