Uni-Italia coordinated the Pavilion dedicated to Study in Italy at NAFSA, the largest networking fair in the United States, held this year in Washington DC, which welcomed 32 Italian academic institutions reunited to promote the Italian higher education system and academic cooperation between Italy and the rest of the world.

Uni-Italia participated in the NAFSA Conference, now in its 75th edition this year, thanks to the valuable synergy developed with MAECI and the Italian Embassy in Washington DC.

On this occasion, the President of the Association, Francesco Profumo, presented the Italian experience and data on the topic "Crisis Management: Global Perspectives for Supporting International Students" during a joint session with Allan Goodman, CEO of the IIE, Kai Sicks, Secretary General of the DAAD, and Titia Bredée, Director General of Nuffic.

Over the past ten years, we have witnessed an increase in emergency situations, droughts, famines, and socio-political events dangerous to people's safety. The President's speech outlined the main projects, actions, and national and international networks implemented to ensure support for students from at-risk countries and those facing economic difficulties, in addition to traditional initiatives to ensure protection, integration, and inclusion in the territories.

Finally, on May 30th, Ambassador Mariangela Zappia hosted the exhibitors of the Italian pavilion at her Residence at Villa Firenze for a convivial networking event among the Italian institutions present.
