From April 20 to 24, 2024, the FAUBAI Networking Fair was held at the Convention Center in São Paulo. Within the Italian exhibition space, three Italian universities participated:
- University of Parma
- Politecnico di Torino
- University for Foreigners of Siena
As an indicative figure, based on registrations on the FAUBAI website updated as of April 20, approximately 600 representatives of higher education internationalization were registered, mainly from the geographical context of South America, with significant participation from Brazilian institutions.
During its presence at FAUBAI 2024, Uni-Italia provided support at the booth as technical secretariat but also had the opportunity to meet foreign institutions interested in closer relationships with Italian academic institutions and international agencies. Among the meetings, there was a general desire to promote Brazilian universities in Italy with one- to two-semester mobility projects.
Additionally, many Brazilian institutions have again expressed interest in organizing seminars and fairs to promote studying in Italy within their campuses, also proposing a virtual version, including INSPER, a private campus of excellence in the fields of Economics and Management, with agreements with Bocconi and Luiss.
Noteworthy meetings included those with representatives from DAAD, SEPIE, and Campus France in Brazil, as well as meetings with Olivier Chiche-Portiche (Campus France) and Aurelio Llaneza Villanueva (SEPIE).
