On October 25, 2023, the "Italian Days on Higher Education", organized by Uni-Italia in collaboration with the Italian diplomatic missions, took place in China.
The event was launched in the city of Guangzhou with an opening speech by Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy in Canton, Prof. QI Yi, the Vice President of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Shenzhen, and Mr. Xing Jianjun, Uni-Italia representative in China. Seven Italian academic institutions were present: the University for Foreigners of Siena, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Cattolica Università del Sacro Cuore, University of Pavia, NABA, RUFA, and Saint Louis College of Music.
During the fair, universities, academies, and students had the opportunity to interact with experts in Italian education and obtain detailed information on courses, tuition fees, scholarships, and application procedures. In order to deepen the understanding of higher education in Italy for students, parents, representatives of Chinese universities, and educational institutions, the event also included a panel discussion.
Subsequently, on October 29, Uni-Italia and the Italian Embassy in Beijing organized the "Italian Days On Higher Education" in Tianjin, where experts and academic representatives from 16 renowned institutions, both Italian and Chinese, participated. These included the University of Palermo, University for Foreigners of Siena, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Cattolica Università del Sacro Cuore, Bocconi University, University of Pavia, NABA, RUFA, Saint Louis College of Music, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Nankai University, Hebei Tianjin University of Industrial Technology, Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, and Tianjin Normal University. This meeting provided a valuable platform for dialogue to discuss the future of cooperation in higher education between the two countries.
Before the official start of the event, the Ambassador of Italy to China, Massimo Ambrosetti, delivered an inaugural speech highlighting the importance of strengthening academic ties between Italy and China.

In addition to the IDOHE, on October 27th and 28th, the CEE (China Education Expo) took place in Beijing, serving as an important platform for Chinese students seeking study opportunities abroad. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Xing, head of Uni-Italia offices in China, attended the lighting event, emphasizing the significance of the Italian Higher Education System for Chinese students.
Within this framework, three prestigious Italian universities - Politecnico di Torino, Università per Stranieri di Siena, and the University of Palermo - participated in the event, offering valuable advice and information to students interested in studying in Italy. Students had the opportunity to delve into study programs, admission requirements, and practical aspects related to the study experience in Italy.
Furthermore, Uni-Italia was onsite to address students' queries and provide detailed information on study opportunities in Italy. Students were able to gain a comprehensive overview of Italian higher education, including the courses available, the advantages of studying in Italy, and the admission procedures.
