Italian Higher Education Takes Center Stage in Guangzhou

Guangzhou, November 9, 2025 – The 2025 edition of the Italian Days on Higher Education (IDOHE) China will take place at the Stellart International School of Arts (SISA) in Foshan, Guangdong Province. The event is dedicated to promoting Italian higher education, aimed at international students interested in starting or continuing their academic path in Italy, and featuring opportunities for dialogue between institutions and meetings with professionals.

The initiative is organized by Uni-Italia, under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Beijing and the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, and will open with institutional greetings from Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou, followed by the welcome remarks of Huang Qiuyan, Director of SISA.

Prof. Xing Jianjun, Head of Uni-Italia Centers in China, will introduce the information session dedicated to study opportunities in Italy, highlighting top-level university and AFAM programs as well as the main internationalisation strategies of the Italian higher education system. Prof. Alessandra Guidi, Science Attaché at the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, will then moderate a dialogue session with the participating Italian institutions, focusing on strengths and future prospects for academic cooperation.

The IDOHE Guangzhou is part of the broader commitment of Uni-Italia and the Italian diplomatic-consular network in China to promote Italian higher education and to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Italy and China. This year, the event will also include a pilot project for the enhancement of internationalisation, promoted together with the Embassy of Italy in Beijing and specifically dedicated to music institutions: four Italian state conservatories will be present, holding a dedicated session on admission and pre-evaluation policies.
