On Friday, October 24, the traditional annual meeting with universities was held in person for the first time since the pandemic, as part of the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” (IYT) scholarship program, now in its tenth edition.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was attended by 16 universities and program partners: the MAECI, represented by Counsellor Giulia Campeggio, Head of Office IV of the DGDP (Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy) - the office organizing the event, Uni-Italia, with Dr. Annalisa di Calisto, Secretary General of the Association, and ITA - Italian Trade Agency, with Dr. Alessandro Cugno, Director of the Business Training Office.
The meeting was an occasion for constructive discussion with the aim of continuing to improve the program together and enhance its impact. During the discussion, particular attention was paid to the importance of the internship experience and the knowledge of the Italian language by students in the IYT program, which are key elements for the success of the initiative and for their full integration into the Italian academic and professional context.
Secretary General Annalisa di Calisto highlighted the importance of the Invest Your Talent in Italy program in the context of the internationalization of the university system, emphasizing in particular the concrete and constant support that Uni-Italia has offered to the program since its inception, including a financial contribution of approximately 680,000 euros for scholarships and a commitment to consolidating a model of responsible internationalization aimed at attracting genuinely motivated international students capable of contributing significantly to the cultural, academic, and professional development of our country. The promotion of a sense of community and of the National System that the Program fosters, she explained, which is based on the values of cooperation, dialogue, and sense of belonging, generates a solid network of international alumni, true ambassadors of the Italian educational and cultural system.
