As part of UNI-BOOST – Capacity Building for University Internationalisation, a project co-funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), Uni-Italia is supporting Politecnico di Bari, University of Insubria and University of Urbino Carlo Bo in their efforts to strengthen and expand their international dimension, by supporting their participation in EAIE 2026, taking place in Glasgow from 8 to 11 September.
In this context, participation in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) takes on particular significance, representing the first concrete step in the support and capacity-building pathway promoted by UNI-BOOST. It offers the three universities the opportunity to engage directly with one of the leading international forums dedicated to higher education. The EAIE Conference and Exhibition brings together thousands of higher education professionals, institutions and organisations from around the world every year, providing a unique environment for exchange, networking and the development of international academic relationships.
Being present in Glasgow will therefore allow the three universities to engage with the international higher education community, gain first-hand experience of international cooperation, meet potential partners and begin building relationships that may, over time, lead to new opportunities for mobility, partnerships and joint projects. Through experiences such as these, UNI-BOOST aims to strengthen the skills and institutional capacities needed to develop sound and sustainable internationalisation strategies, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized Italian universities.
