Guangzhou and Shenzhen - 9–11 November 2025
The 2025 edition of the Italian Days on Higher Education in China opens in parallel with Italy’s participation in the CEE – China Education Expo in Guangzhou, one of Asia’s most prominent international education fairs. A dedicated Italian pavilion coordinated by Uni-Italia will give Italian academic institutions a high-visibility platform within a dynamic and cooperative environment for both networking and recruitment activities.
A dynamic format: forum + campus tour
The IDOHE China event includes two integrated components:
- Sunday 9 November – IDOHE Guangzhou
A full day designed to connect the Italian and Chinese academic systems. The morning will feature an institutional forum with speakers from both countries’ academic institutions, followed in the afternoon by student and parents sessions. - 10–11 November – Campus Tour in Guangzhou and Shenzhen
Two days of academic visits to Chinese universities, selected and confirmed based on the profiles of the participating Italian institutions. Tentative host universities include: Guangzhou University, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering, GAFA – School of Art & Design, and Shenzhen University.
A key country for internationalization
The host cities – Guangzhou and Shenzhen – stand out for their dynamism and strong focus on research, technology, and cultural exchange.
Guangzhou is one of China’s major economic hubs, with a diversified industrial structure and a long-standing tradition of international trade. Shenzhen, on the other hand, is widely recognized as China’s capital of technological innovation, home to numerous high-tech companies and a center of excellence for digital and entrepreneurial development. Both cities are part of Guangdong province, which alone accounts for a significant share of the country’s total economic output.
