NETWORKING AND CONFERENCE

HIGH EDUCATION INTERNATIONALIZATION CONFERENCE WITH AGENCIES

Among the activities carried out by Uni-Italia to support university cooperation and cultural exchanges between countries, the Conference "Networks and Internationalization Agencies in Europe" was established in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, and the Ministry of the Interior. The idea behind this initiative is to facilitate the meeting between European Agencies for University Internationalization and Italian institutions, fostering a fruitful dialogue focused on the exchange of experiences regarding student mobility policies, as well as public and private financing for internationalization.

The Opportunities of G7

On the occasion of the G7 summit hosted by Italy in 2017, Uni-Italia organized and chaired the International Higher Education Agencies Summit. This event brought together international agencies from the G7 countries, as well as the participation of other nations, with the aim of addressing issues related to globalization and the new challenges in higher education. Taking place in Turin on September 27th, the summit focused on the main theme: "The New Challenges: Knowledge Spreading vs New Fears." Another important topic discussed was the internationalization of research, which included a discussion on the report "Globalizing University Research" by the AIFS Foundation (USA). At the conclusion of the event, a "Declaration on the importance of international higher education, exchange, and cooperation" was unanimously approved. This declaration can be found in the proceedings of the summit titled "International Higher Education Agencies Summit - Turin 2017."

STUDY IN EUROPE

Uni-Italia is a stakeholder in the Study in Europe project, sponsored by the European Commission and created to promote the European education system worldwide. As a result, Uni-Italia participates in programs and events aimed at promoting higher education in Europe. The project includes 34 European countries that are partners of the European Union's Erasmus+ Programme.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON THE MARCO POLO AND TURANDOT SPECIAL PROGRAMS

The Marco Polo and Turandot Government Programs Annual Conference is specifically designed for universities, AFAM institutions, and language training organizations. This conference is organized by Uni-Italia. The conference aims to analyze the two programs from various perspectives. It gathers input from professionals in the field and provides updates for institutional representatives, as well as presenting improvement proposals in anticipation of future ministerial regulations.

FAIRS AND MEETINGS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

Uni-Italia continues to enhance its network through participation in numerous fairs and international conferences dedicated to promoting higher education. Noteworthy among these are the National Association of International Educators (NAFSA), the European Association for International Education (EAIE), the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), as well as the China Education Expo (CEE) and the China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET). The participation in these events is supported by the physical presence of the Italian pavilion "Uni-Italia Study in Italy," which hosts Italian universities and AFAM institutes abroad. This allows them and the entire Italian higher education system to take advantage of a dedicated platform for internationalization.
