Participation and organization of events during the G7

Uni-Italia takes part annually in the meetings organized by the European Agencies for Internationalization at the same time as the meetings of the political G7. These events are organized and chaired in turn by the student mobility agency of the country hosting the political G7.
In 2017, Italy being the host country, Uni-Italia organized and chaired the International Higher Education Agencies Summit, which was held in Turin on 27th September.
The main topic of the meeting was "The New Challenges: Knowledge Spreading vs. New Fears". Another important topic was the internationalization of research with the discussion of the Globalization University Research report of the American Institute for Foreign Study Foundation (USA).

At the end of the day, a "Declaration on the Importance of International High Education, Exchange and Cooperation" was unanimously approved. It is part of the final report "International Higher Education Agencies Summit - Turin 2017".

At the Summit in Turin they attended high level delegations: UK (British Council), France (Campus France), Germany (DAAD), USA (Institute of International Education, IIE), Canada (Canadian Bureau for International Education, CBIE) and Japan (Japan Student Service Association, Jasso). Among the non-G7 countries, the Netherlands (Nuffic), Spain (Servicio Español Para la Internacionalización de la Educación, SEPIE), Finland (the National Agency for Education) and Lithuania (Education Exchanges Support Foundation).

The next meeting in 2018 will take place in Canada.
